Moritz Schneider

• born in 1976 in Biel / Switzerland

• early first steps on the piano and drums influenced by my mother, who gave classical piano lessons and my father who plays contrabass

• 1994 the first compositions for local television stations

• 1996-1998 employed at Turnus Film AG in Gutenswil. First as an intern and later as a sound engineer and composer

• since 1996 various musical productions for over 100 commercial and industrial films such as Coca-Cola, BMW, McDonalds, Siemens, Microsoft, Nestle, etc.

• from 1998-2003 owner and operator of the studios' philippemoritz prod. GmbH together with Philippe Schmid in Zürich.

• from July 2005 working as an independent composer for feature films, industrial films, commercials and other musical productions.

• november 2005 to February 2007 "authors exclusive contract" with Universal music Publishing in Berlin as a songwriter for various Artists

• since 2001 first experience with complete feature film score compositions, later also full orchestral score compositions together with Robin Hoffmann, in cooperation with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

• 2008 Swiss Film Award (Special Jury Prize) for the music for "Breakout" together with "Mich Gerber and "Stress"

Robin Hoffmann

• born 1984 in a small town near Dresden/Germany

• started to play the piano at the age of 5 influenced by my father who was composer and keyboard player in a rock band

• first compositions at the age of 10

• first orchestral compositions at the age of 14

• composition lessons at the age of 16

• composed an orchestral work as part of my a-level exam, which got played by an orchestra and got the grade A

• started composing for movies after graduating from school, continueing taking composition lessons

• got accepted at the Dresden University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber" at the age of 19

• studied composition/arrangement from 2004-2008

• got hired as composer for several major national and international film projects as well as orchestrator for major game titles while still studying

• passed diploma exam with grade A in 2008

• continued to work as freelance composer/orchestrator/arranger for media as well as composer for concert work
